Save the place for development of dance in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is under threat of losing its production house for dance. This is a result of the minimization of the multi-year subsidy from the Amsterdam Funds for the Arts (AFK) to Dansmakers Amsterdam. Support this petition! Don’t allow a situation that will affect the Amsterdam dance field to suffer negative consequences for years to come.

Colleagues, partners, supporters of culture, trusted friends and/or valued visitors of Dansmakers Amsterdam,
establish that:
a situation that threatens the Amsterdam dance sector and will have negative consequences for years to come. A form of capital destruction where young, talented and ambitious dance makers will soon feel the effects! The Amsterdam Funds for the Arts (AFK) has brought the structural financing of Dansmakers Amsterdam to woefully insufficient level for the period 2017-2020. That means that the existence of the house for dance development cannot be guaranteed. We are deeply concerned!
and request
the City of Amsterdam to provide with sufficient means to sustain the essential place for talent development, creation and presentation for the Amsterdam dance sector. We ask you to combat the impending capital and content destruction. And to give us the chance to establish in broad coalition, a new, exciting, innovative and diverse house for dance-makers and public alike.
